    We want to support women and girls in NW London through fitness, debt management and empowerment. رؤيتنا رؤيتنا في BeLifted ، نعمل على تزويد النساء والفتيات بفرص للوصول إلى أقصى إمكاناتهن ، من أجل مكان آمن ومجاني لتلائم أسرتك ، ولتوفير الدعم العاطفي ، مع نادي الكتاب حتى يتمكن أطفالك من النمو بثقة ونقدم مجانًا والمشورة الشخصية المتعلقة بالديون. ينصب تركيزنا حاليًا على شمال غرب لندن ، حيث تُعقد المجموعات والفصول بانتظام في بارنت وبرنت وكامدن. نحن نركز على المجموعات التالية من النساء ؛ النساء من سن 16 إلى 70 عامًا ، والنساء السود ونساء الأقليات العرقية ، والناجيات من العنف المنزلي ، والأمهات العازبات ، والنساء اللائي يعشن في فقر ، والنساء المعرضات للخطر ، والنساء المجرمات السابقات The problems we are facing: The stats don't lie - domestic violence, obesity and debt management are the key issues we are collectively trying to combat here at BeLifted. 13,000 women suffer from domestic violence in Camden. 2021 Barnet reported a record number of sexual offences. 42,700 overweight adults are registered with Camden GP practices 18% of children aged 10-11 years are considered obese in Barnet. 25,000 people are in debt in Barnet 21,000 people are in debt in Brent 12,000 people are in debt in Camden The impact BeLifted is making: - Over 50% of the women who attend our women and kids empowerment sessions have suffered domestic or sexual violence. - 80% of women who have suffered domestic violence or sexual abuse and attend our sessions have said the empowerment groups have added positively to their lives and given them hope. - Almost 100% of the women who attend our women and kids empowerment sessions are from single parent homes. - The debt surgery we run in Barnet has helped 100% of those who have attended and we have helped clear at least 50% of those in serious debt

Whether it’s helping Windrush survivors secure the compensation they deserve, supporting migrants with eVisa applications through our Home Office partnerships, or defending women in courtrooms who are escaping violence—we’re there. For over five years, our award-nominated programmes have helped more than 1,000 women and their families escape cycles of poverty, homelessness, and trauma. The SBWA is a registered charity (No. 1056856) and was set up in 1992 to support the Somali and Bravanese community, many of whom have escaped war and persecution in Somalia. Our community experiences all the difficulties of a largely refugee and immigrant community; language and cultural orientation, problems in accessing training and employment, and cultural and religious isolation, particularly among the women of the community. We're a social enterprise that teaches the basic life skills of cooking and sustainable healthy independent living. The Stonegrove Community Trust was originally set up in 2014, and OneStonegrove was opened to the local community in the Summer of 2016. Rhyl is a vibrant, happy and inclusive community school in the heart of Camden and welcome's children and families from a wide diversity of backgrounds. It provides a broad and creative curriculum within a safe and stimulating learning environment.

    Meet the Team at BeLIfted قابل الفريق Jennifer Founder & Director Jenny is a journalist by trade and her passion lies in fitness and writing. Jenny founded BeLifted in 2017 and is a qualified fitness instructor and a trained pre and post natal fitness trainer (Level 3). Also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Level 1 & 2, safeguarding of women and children, economic abuse and business. Read More Benjamin Director & Trustee Ben is an ex amateur boxer who has competed in national and international competitions. He has also worked in the city for some of the largest banks and companies for over 15 years. A member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), Ben also has an accreditation with CISI in finance. Ben now runs his own non profit organisation, where he helps young people achieve their dreams and aspire for more. Ben is one of our directors and trustees. Read More Efait Women and young girl support worker Ms Efait is a trained English and ESOL teacher and enjoys working with young people and helping her community. As well as a Mum, Ms Efait loves to support fellow parents and young people. Ms Efait runs the book club, alongside Ms Eva and is also a support worker within the schools and community groups that BeLifted runs activities at. Ms Efait is embedded within the community. Read More Nicola Domestic violence trainer and coach Nicola is a domestic violence trainer, who is also a victim-survivor. Having lived experienced, Nicola shares her story with others in the hope it will not only encourage but also save a life. Nicola wants other women to understand and recognize different types of abuse. Nicola is disabled but has used her experience with her condition to change the lives of others. Nicola is BeLifted domestic violence coach and hopes to inspire and help other women who were in a similar position to her. A mother, Nicola has two beautiful children Charlotte 25 and Kain 20 and has lived in Barnet her whole life. She also has experience as a beautician and cake maker and used to run a weekend cafe in Barnet college. Nicola has also worked at St Mary's primary nursery in Finchley and has nursery nurse experience. Nicola's interests include domestic violence, women and children. Read More Fanta Trustee & Debt Management Advisor Fanta is from Sierra Leone and is a Graduate in Law and Human Rights Law at the University of London. She is a certified Debt Adviser and support worker from CMA. She is also a trustee at Beliftenow and New Citizens Gateway. Since 2018 she has worked with organisations such as Advice for Renters, New citizens Gateway and Rainbow Money advice as a voulnteer. She runs the debt management service at Beliftnow at two locations. She is also does legal Advice with SBWA and is a Caseworker at Colindale Communities Trust. She is currently finishing her master in International Human Rights law. Read More Natalie Director & Trustee Natalie was brought up in NW London and now resides in Barnet with her teenage daughter. She has A-Levels in both Media Studies and English and is currently studying for her CIM Professional Marketing Qualification, she has training in Autism, GDPR and is currently the Communications and Marketing Officer for a charity that provides services for people with Autism and Disabilities in East London. She is passionate about sports, girls in sport and spent three months in Ghana coaching football. She also enjoys painting, photography and watching Arsenal in her spare time. Natalie is keen on volunteering; she wants to help young girls and women succeed and feels passionately about supporting survivors of domestic violence. Ms Eva manages our book club, alongside Ms Efait and also enjoys helping mums and young people. Ms Eva is a mum herself and has completed courses in food hygiene and child care. Ms Eva, also helps run the workshops within schools and community groups that BeLifted operate in. Ms Eva is embedded within her community and lives in Barnet. Read More Bev Trustee, personal trainer and mentor Bev is a former journalist and now a PR/communications specialist. For many years Bev has nurtured and mentored teams to brilliance, encouraging them to believe and achieve. Her passion is fitness and mental wellbeing and for her the two go hand in hand- healthy body, healthy mind. Bev's mantra is 'listen to your body.' As a qualified personal trainer, one of her 'go-tos' is working out when she needs to solve a problem. Bev believes exercise should be fun and creates high energy routines for her young niece and nephew which she is looking forward to sharing with BeLifted. Bev is over the moon to be part of the team and use her skills to make a difference and give back. Read More

They also run a website to support to children and teenagers who may be living in a home affected by domestic violence, or who may be in a violent relationship themselves.
